Unite for a secure election

Ahead of the April 9 legislative elections , the new military commander General Moeldoko Khabar said that Indonesia improves its security starting in March .

" So far , we have 30,000 personnel on standby , " he said before the legislative elections . " We will put them at the grassroots level and in some areas are experiencing violence , such as Aceh and other places . They will help each other to secure the event.

" However , we realized that the military and police presence without the support of the community will not succeed , " he said . " We need the cooperation of all the people . "
